Bitter battle is looming after the City of Cape Town approved the construction of 600 housing units, a school and a private nature reserve on the farm Uitkamp in Durbanville.

The conduct of all organs of state involved in managing the Nkandla Project, particularly officials from the Department of Public Works (DPW) was unlawful and constitutes improper conduct and maladministration. Excerpts from Public Protector, Nkandla Report.

The Mpumalanga department of public works has recommended remedial action of the public protector's report relating to the unlawful awarding of tenders for shop leases in Pilgrim's Rest.
