Kenya’s logistics market continues to grow

Kenya’s expanding economy has spurred the growth of its logistics property market with the economic hub of Nairobi experiencing a 15% year-on-year increase in new warehousing supply, Broll Property Intel’s latest Kenya Logistics Snapshot Report reveals.

Ten potential special economic zones, at least one in each province, had been identified and would be subjected to feasibility studies in the coming months, Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies said in Parliament Friday.

The Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan today proposed an employment tax incentive for young, first-time workers, which will use a new graduated formula and will replace the contested youth wage subsidy announced by Gordhan in the 2011 Budget.
