It often happens that an offer to purchase is signed by a member of a company while waiting for that company to be formed. This is allowed but the agreement must be formally accepted by the company or it will be null and void....

When buying a property, particularly vacant land or land for subdivision and there is a servitude, ensure that you ascertain whether it is personal or praedial...

In SA law provision has been made to protect a tenant in the event of an owner selling his property while a lease in still in place.  “Huur gaat voor koop” comes into effect to protect the tenant’s right to the property while his lease still stands.
