Knight Frank Launches 2018 Wealth Report

London, UK – Knight Frank has launched The Wealth Report 2018. The 12th edition of the report provides the global perspective on prime property and wealth.

South Africa’s economy grew by 3.1% in the fourth quarter of 2017 ending the year on a strong footing, Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) announced on Tuesday.

The continent continued to attract new regional and global investment, whilst economic and political events, currency shifts and fluctuating tourism demand brought both risks and rewards to hotel markets across the region.

Real estate consulting firm, JLL, has released its South African Q4 2017 market reports for key markets across the country, including the office markets in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town; the industrial markets in Johannesburg and Durban; and an outline of the South African retail market.

National Budget geared to instill confidence

Emira Property Fund today reported a total dividend of 70.65 cents per share for its half-year ended 31 December 2017. This represents a 2.5% year-on-year increase in distributions and marks Emira’s return to positive dividend growth.

CHICAGO, February 7, 2018 — Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated today reported operating performance for the full year and fourth quarter of 2017.

The FTSE/JSE South African Listed Property Index (SAPY) achieved total returns of 17.2% in 2017, building on its performance of returns of 10.2% in 2016, to deliver double-digit growth to investors for the second year in succession.

The Africa Summit of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has entrenched itself as an annual event and will reconvene for the fourth consecutive year in Sandton Central, Johannesburg, in May.
