Listed property growth outlook slows

Listed property may well be beating general equities in the total return stakes for the year to date, but the August reporting season reveals a widening performance gap among the JSE’s 20-odd property counters.

The withdrawal of the listing of the Old Mutual Triangle Fund is described as 'somewhat disappointing' by Angelique De Rauville, the portfolio manager at Investec Asset Management.

Mall mania hits JSE

This week’s listing of R2,2bn to the real estate sector’s market cap, which is fast ap proaching R130bn, up from R100bn 18 months ago.

Rebosis, the first black-managed and black-held property fund, which made its debut on the JSE on Tuesday, is expected to offer investors an initial 8,6% forward yield with forecast growth in distributions of 12% next year.

Rebosis Property Fund announced that its private placement was oversubscribed, with the fund successfully placing 165 851 703 units for R1.6bn.

Rebosis to list on JSE on May 17

Rebosis said that it will allow qualifying investors to subscribe for up to 165 851 703 linked units at an issue price of R10 per linked unit.
