R12m boost for Jeffreys Bay

Main beach area in Jeffreys Bay is set to undergo a facelift thanks to a financial boost of more than R12m from the Department of Environmental Affairs.

Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking (NCIB) and the Green Fund which is managed by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) on behalf of the National Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), concluded an agreement to jointly fund the development of approximately 400 affordable green housing units in the Western Cape and Gauteng Provinces.

Tourism industry to receive R600m boost

About R600 million will be invested in the Tourism Incentive Programme during this medium term expenditure framework (MTEF) to support tourism enterprises, Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom said on Tuesday.
