Concor’s new group CEO Lucas Tseki is confident South Africa’s construction sector is turning the corner, provided there is no further delay in the adjudication and awarding of large infrastructure contracts by government agencies.

Construction firm Murray & Roberts is slapped with another multimillion-rand fine for involvement in collusive tendering in the buildup to the 2010 Fifa World Cup.

Murray & Roberts said it is using 'section 45' of the Tax Act to merge with its subsidiary Concor, forming a single company called Murray & Roberts Construction with R6,5bn turnover.
