South Africa leads African retail expansion

Retailers are responding to increased demand from consumers in Africa, and in particular expanding operations on the continent from South Africa, reports Malcolm Horne, CEO of Broll Property Group.

Broll Property Group was the broker firm that secured the most new deals across South Africa by value for Growthpoint. 

The foremost gathering focusing on African property investment and development will be held at the Sandton Sun Hotel, Johannesburg,South Africa.

Broll Property Group has welcomed news of French retailer Carrefour’s entry to the African market to meet the growing retail needs on the continent. 

Broll has announced the conclusion of three large-scale property deals in Cape Town. 

For the first time in several years, commercial property developers are bringing speculative office developments to market.

Springfield Park, Riverhorse Valley, Briardene and Mount Edgecombe are fast emerging as industrial hotspots in Durban North.

Phoenix Industrial Park, one of Durban’s oldest and sizeable industrial parks, is the focus of a new retention and expansion programme which will see the city boosting local business as it reinvests in the park’s future. The knock-on effect on real estate being one noteworthy spinoff.
