JHI, one of South Africa's leading independent property services companies, has appointed Rudolf Nieman as Director: Projects, to bolster its competitive strength in four key disciplines, namely development management, project management, facilities management and residential development.
Nieman is currently the Managing Director of JHI Project Management and this position will be combined with the new position. He previously was head of the facilities division at JHI and was actively involved in the development of the company's competency in facilities management.
"Nieman's appointment, effective as from the 1st of August 2008, is key to growing the consulting side of our business. Over the years he has demonstrated a keen insight and very real hands-on management that has provided our clients with strategic guidance to manage their properties and projects more effectively, " says Marna van der Walt, CEO at JHI.
"As we grow these competencies, our aim is to clone best practices for growth into the African market, where there is significant demand for such skills and services. The key, we believe, is to ensure value-add services, supported by specialist skills and hands-on management involvement" Nieman says.
