The management programme deals with property finance, valuation, property law, negotiation, investment, development and marketing.
Run jointly by Sapoa and the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, the management programme is an intensive two-week course aimed at honing the skills across a wide range of property disciplines.
More than half of the applicants who apply in any given year are turned away, says Sapoa CEO Neil Gopal.
This year Sapoa received 131 applications, of which 64 were accepted.
Eight international delegates formed part of this year’s crop of programme delegates.
Lectures cover a wide rage of topics, from economics and strategic thinking, to town planning and valuation, marketing and property management.
Instructors are drawn both from the faculty at the Graduate School of Business as well as from the pool of specialists and professionals among Sapoa members.
