The opening of the Fourways business centre at Montecasino has underlined the blue-chip status of Regus as the country’s biggest serviced office company with the strongest representation at premier locations

Regus is the world’s largest provider of workplace solutions and recent developments have extended and deepened its South African footprint where it counts – the areas in most demand from clients looking for a prestigious profile.

Joanne Bushell, Johannesburg-based CEO of Regus Africa, notes: “Our research confirms the importance of location to clients looking to enhance a professional image. It is especially crucial for blue-chip customers or those with a blue-chip client-base.”

The Montecasino business centre is located at one of the country’s foremost entertainment destinations close to an international five-star hotel and first class conferencing and event facilities. Desirability is reinforced by the proximity of OR Tambo International Airport and excellent highway connections.

“This ability to meet or exceed client expectations in terms of location and facilities has driven our growth in recent years and entrenched our position as industry leader,” says Bushell.

The Montecasino centre covers 2 139m² and contains 60 office suites, 200 workstations and various meeting and training rooms. Regus operates Ten South African centres: Fourways, Bryanston, Sandton, Midrand and Woodmead in Gauteng; Century City, Foreshore, Water Front and River Park in Cape Town and the Old Mutual Centre, Durban. The local portfolio now covers over 16 000m².

Local representation complements an international network of 950 business centres.

Recent commercial property research by SAPOA highlights the strong demand for high-profile business nodes, putting the Fourways vacancy level at 3.2% while the rate for Bryanston and Woodmead is 1.7% and 1.9% respectively.

Regus CRM data confirms that location is key for 38% of new clients and 39% of clients who expand initial requirements.

The company’s ability to support a client’s professional image can be even more important, with 45% of new customers listing this as a critical consideration.

Desirable location is complemented by state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, video conferencing facilities, Network Access for mobile professionals, on-site business and technical support and superbly appointed meeting and training rooms.  Our business service team is dedicated to your business success and are on hand to assist with admin support.

“Regus is at the leading edge of trends such as the growth of a mobile workforce empowered by cellphone, remote devices and laptop,” says Bushell.

Data security has become a key client demand.

Joanne Bushell adds: “Unregulated connections from public areas like coffee shops breach the security protocols of many clients. This makes our partnership with IBM and Cisco especially valuable as we gain access to the latest 24/7 security features and can offer a secure environment.

”Another exciting role is that of growth-facilitator for South Africa’s new wave of entrepreneurs. Products such as the Regus Virtual Office and Network Access Programme are a smart short-cut to easy and cost-effective expansion into and working in new markets as it provides an instant local presence without the need for a full-time office.
