The redevelopment of Fish Hoek's Calders Kings into a four star hotel and conference facility, following a R22m investment by Zevenwacht Properties, is scheduled for completion in September.

Located next to the entrance to Fish Hoek beach, in Cape Town, the old Salvation Army hotel is being comprehensively upgraded to a 26-suite luxury hotel with a modern conference centre.

The developers expect the development to have a "positive spin-off" on Fish Hoek and the entire area, saying it will attract both business visitors and holiday-makers.

Zevenwacht Properties says local companies will be used wherever possible for operating requirements, while food and beverage needs will be outsourced locally.

Zevenwacht Properties was responsible for the development of the Simon?s Town waterfront and Quayside Hotel.
