Phumelela Park, one of four Old Mutual industrial parks in greater Cape Town, is being expanded – for the second time in a year.

A R26 million warehouse and distribution facility for Time Freight, a division of the Laser Logistics Group, is being built on a 16 135m² site within the park.  The Time Freight development, on an initial 10-year lease, follows a R83 million expansion, comprising six units ranging in size from 3 800m², on 5 ha of the park.

Bounded by Montague Drive, Racecourse Road, Freedom Way and Omuramba Road, Phumelela Park is close to the Century City commercial development and N1 and N7 freeways and also offers rapid access to Cape Town harbour and city centre.

The developments at Phumelela Park have boosted the total lettable area under roof in  Old Mutual’s western Cape industrial portfolio to more than
150 000m².
