An Africa and Middle East business conference will be holding a special session to discuss the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront disposal transaction
An Africa and Middle East business conference, which is being organised by Omega Investment Research for the end of this month in Cape Town, will be holding a special session to discuss the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront disposal transaction and its implications for southern Africa.

The lead sponsor of the business conference, which has the theme Building Business Bridges in a Divided World, is Nakheel, the Dubai development company.

Nakheel Hotels & Resorts is a member of the foreign consortium that recently acquired the V&A Waterfront for more than R7bn.

The conference is being held at The Table Bay Hotel from November 27 to 29.

Omega chairman Denis Worrall says it will be the "biggest and most promising" African-Arab conference held to date. It will highlight investment issues and business opportunities in both Arab and African countries.

FW de Klerk, former South African president, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.
