NEW multimillion-rand head office and warehouse premises for retailing group Crusader Holdings are under construction on a lake-fronting site at Capricorn Park in Muizenberg.

The premises — the first office block to be built at Capricorn Park — will include 835m² of lettable offices over two levels, with warehousing as well as a service centre and spare parts archive.

Provision has also been made for the addition of a third floor of offices to provide a further 440m² of office space as and when required.

Brent Topat, a director of Crusader Holdings, says the building will be let by Crusader Holdings, which will in turn sublet the office component to Cash Crusaders Franchising and the warehouse component of Crusaders Corporate.

Cash Crusaders Franchising is responsible for the administration and support of the Cash Crusaders franchise system, which oversees 117 Cash Crusaders outlets throughout SA, 32 of which are located in Western Cape.

The total turnover for Cash Crusaders this financial year is expected to be more than R400m.

Capricorn Park asset manager Wendy Hartshorne says the business and industrial park has enjoyed strong sales of industrial land in the past year, but this is the first office site to be developed.
