Two major transactions concluded by Pam Golding Commercial Seamus Daly, leasing and sales director of Pam Golding Commercial, has concluded the sale of a 8 782sqm warehouse and office building well situated in Christian Avenue in Epping, Cape Town, for R9.4 million, as well as the five year lease of a 9000sqm property - also situated in Christian Avenue, with a capital value of R8.4 million. The first property was purchased by an owner occupier who is involved in the distribution of confectionery, while the lease for the second property was concluded on behalf of a furniture manufacturer.

Commenting on the local property market, Daly says there is an increasing demand for industrial space in Epping, an area which is experiencing a revival, with a particular demand for large industrial space of 3000 to 10 000sqm from buyers as well as those wishing to lease premises.

He says this demand is also evident in Woodstock, another well situated area within easy reach of central Cape Town, which is now considered an up and coming location in terms of both commercial/ industrial and residential property. He says here the demand for industrial premises is mainly among owner users, for space ranging from 600 to 6000sqm.
