Becker will take up his new position on July 1.
Sun International CEO Peter Bacon said that following the restructuring of Sun International in August 2004, which led to the de-lisiting of Sun International South Africa (Sisa) and the renaming of Kersaf Investments to Sun International, it was considered appropriate to amalgamate the financial functions of the former Kersaf and Sun International companies.
"Rob is well qualified to assume responsibility for this key area of the business and brings extensive experience in corporate finance and local and offshore financial management," Bacon said.
Currently the chief financial officer of Nampak, Becker holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Wits University, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and obtained an MBA (Brunel University - UK) in 1998. He qualified with Deloitte & Touche before joining Hunt Leuchars & Hepburn Holdings Limited and then Robertsons Holdings as Group Financial Director.
