Bill Grantham, a director of Pam Golding Commercial (PGC) Leasing and Sales (Pty) Ltd, recently concluded the sale of two properties in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, and also facilitated the auction of a third property - all of which related to the recent merger of accounting and auditing practice Bush Kohlberg and approximately half the staff of Van der Westhuizen Anderson, another accounting and auditing firm. The properties are situated in the Woodstock and Wynberg areas.

The new entity, which is known as Moore Stephens, now owns a prime, character building, Roodebloem Manor in Milner Road, Woodstock, purchased through PGC for the amount of R3.2 million. This historic commercial property is ideally suited to accommodate the significantly expanded accounting and auditing practice, which now comprises some 85 people.

As a result of the merger 5 Cornwall Place, Wynberg where the firm of Van der Westhuizen Anderson was located, was sold by PGC, in a transaction valued at R2.425 million to De Bruyn Daly & Associates, another accounting practice.  This unique property captures the high appeal of many of the character buildings of Wynberg and is a landmark in the area.

In addition to these deals, Grantham facilitated a third property transaction by introducing Moore Stephens to Auction Alliance, in regard to the sale of the former Woodstock premises of Bush Kohlberg. This property was successfully auctioned and Kohlberg says the accounting practice was extremely happy with the price achieved.
