In November, 469 plans worth a total of R67,8 million were approved, compared to 427 plans together worth R30,7m in November last year.
Last year's monthly average was 323 plans worth R46,4m.
From the beginning of January to the end of November, Buffalo City approved 3 658 plans worth a total of R510m. November's plans were worth 13 percent of this.
Plans approved in November include:
- Townhouses in Edge Road, Beacon Bay, being built by Secrivest worth R14m;
- Twenty units at Silver Creek in Abbotsford together worth R5,2m;
- Twelve units at Monterey in Cambridge together worth R2,6m;
- Six units in Conway Road, Sunnyridge, together worth R2m;
- 90 lowcost houses in Reeston, worth R21318 each - a total of R1,9m;
- 72 lowcost houses in Beacon Bay, worth R21 318 each - a total of R1,5m;
- A hall for Merrifield school worth R1,47m;
- Additions at Selborne Primary School worth R697 000;
- Additions at Stirling Primary worth R398 000;
- A workshop for Meyers Delta in North Street worth R243 000;
- An ablution block in John Bailie Road worth R35 000; and
- A carport for the Gonubie Lifesavers, Club worth R24 200. - DDR
