South Africa's retail sales - the main indicator of consumer demand - rose by 11,7% year-on-year in September at constant prices, Statistics South Africa said yesterday.
During the month itself, retail sales increased by 4,4% compared to August at constant prices, the data showed.
In the three months to September, retail sales rose by 10,6% compared with the same period a year ago.
