THE public works department together with Business Intelligence Company and Excellante International are hosting the first Black Women in Property conference at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways on November 29.
The conference is part of Public Works Minister Stella Sigcau's initiative to establish a property transformation charter.
Through the event, the department is hoping to encourage black women's participation and empowerment in the property industry.
Some of the issues to be discussed at the conference will include the lack of women ownership in the property sector, economic empowerment for black women and available financing options .
Sigcau will open the event. Other speakers and panellists include Lydia Bici, the public works department deputy director-general, and Lynette Finlay, president of commercial property association Sapoa.
