Property owners can probably still expect a slight hardening of interest rates later this year, but any adjustment is likely to be mild and provide little reason for concern, says ERA Real Estate CEO Gerhard Kotze.

He says that in keeping with the UK property market, where mortgage rates were hiked last month, and the US, a slight hardening of rates is probable in South Africa later this year.
