Property Partners, the 12 month old Cape property financiers, is selling Erf 1783 and Erf 8348 which are on the Hout Bay side of Constantia Nek. Together these erven cover 25,3ha and offer magnificent north facing views of Oranjekloof, similar to those enjoyed from the nearby upmarket holiday cottage development, Silver Mists.
Stuart Chait, Chief Executive of Property Partners, said that an application had been made to subdivide 8ha of the site into 19 plots so as to be able to create a gated eco-village. Any developer buying this land, he said, will be able to go ahead with a low-density village in which each erf will have
4 200m2 including the access roads and the public private open space.
The developers, said Chait, are now being asked to submit offers which must, however, comply basically with the Property Partners’ plan for the site because, said Chait, so sensitive and precious an area is not suited to any other type of development.
"The whole of the Constantia Nek precinct," said Chait, "will, I believe, come to be seen as one of the jewels of the Cape Peninsula. It has wonderful views and easy, quick access to the city, Constantia and Hout Bay but is still completely rural with well known mountain paths leading off in several directions."
Chait and his colleagues can be contact on telephone number 021 670 5050.
