In keeping with the authentic and exciting new look and feel of their new generation stores, Cape Union Mart has launched Africa’s premier Adventure Centre in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The new 880 m² store is situated behind the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre (next to Quay 4) and is an absolute treat for customers and tourists alike – offering an experience that peaks all senses.

This innovative store includes an six metre climbing wall with a dark-chamber inside to test torches and headlamps, the world’s first ‘Trek-Mill’, simulating trail-walking conditions on which boots can be tested, the world’s first 18 metre wide indoor waterfall, and a cold-weather environmental chamber that simulates freezing conditions with wind and rain. The flooring of the store will be a bullet-proof glass floor covering the oldest slip-way in the country.

The store carries the full range of Cape Union Mart gear including their recently released ladies and rock climbing ranges while the exciting features offer customers an adventurous shopping experience. Customers are encouraged to test their gear on each of the features whilst trained staff members are available to assist them in ensuring their safety. A coffee shop, Europa, is located the upper level of the store, giving shoppers an opportunity to catch a breather.
