Santam has awarded the cleaning contract for its head office and administration building to Zwelitsha Property Services.

Santam has awarded the cleaning contract for its head office and administration building to Zwelitsha Property Services.

Zwelitsha is a nationally represented black economic empowerment property management company, formed in partnership with the Trafalgar Group.

Commenting on this two-year contract, Peter Logan, the Santam head of Property Services said his company supports black economic empowerment, particularly where quality and service levels are high and there is demonstrable black ownership and management involvement.

Ramona Jayson, Operations Manager for Zwelitsha says she is excited about this new challenge. She added that, although Zwelitsha has a number of similar contracts with various financial institutions nationally, the Santam contract will enable the company to further demonstrate and develop its capabilities in the property services industry.

Zwelitsha is one of a handful of national empowerment property companies in the country with a black majority shareholding. The company was launched on the back of a R2-million per annum cleaning contract for Old Mutual’s headquarters in Pinelands in the Cape.

Since then the property services country has continued to attract a number of large contracts from institutions and national corporates.
