The South African commercial property industry struggles to maintain up to date records, with consistency issues in both reporting and presentation. The absence of effective controls within the contract environment regularly leads to cost overruns and project losses amounting to millions of rand.
ABO Software has just launched its new package Timberline Office, which is advanced software enabling end-to-end solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. “We were looking for a client orientated product that would add value at a competitive cost within the South African context. Our main criteria were ease of use, flexibility, excellent support and an ability to integrate with other existing products,” says Alex Astengo, executive at ABO Software South Africa. “We are delighted to be partnering with Timberline, a Best Software Company, and part of The Sage Group plc, a UK FTSE 100 listed company.”
Less than 50% of construction contracts are completed on time, within budget and relatively defect free according to a new report by the Construction Industry Development Board. Additional research has shown that the growing US trend is for unhindered data transfer within their businesses and their business partners.
ABO Software will be launching Timberline Office at the SAPOA annual conference CTICC on 12-14th May 2004.
