Microsoft signs 10 year lease for new premises
The new R80-million head office for Microsoft in the Sloane Precinct on the William Nicol Highway will be handed over for occupancy on September 1.

The new premises incorporates two basement levels and three floors of open-plan office space.

The hi-tech interior has access flooring to support an IT-driven building. The current space of 7 500sq m allows Microsoft to incorporate its off-site call centre into its head office.

Microsoft has entered into a ten-year lease for the building, developed by Kagiso Intaprop, a division of Kagiso Property Holdings.

"The design provides a 'street' that forms the hub of the building, with coffee bars, Internet cafe and informal meeting spaces that exit onto a timbered deck overlooking the heavily wooded gardens," said Jamie Raubenheimer, executive of Kagiso Property Holdings
