A JOINT venture between property developing company Charles Potgieter Investments and Cape of Good Hope Bank is to develop a 1,2ha site in Tyger Valley as a R130m office campus called Tyger Chambers.

The investment is one of several multimillion-rand property development investments in Western Cape's Tyger Valley area, one of SA's fast growing nodes.

Others investments are Tyger Falls, a R500m mixed-use development, and the Tyger Valley Velodrome Waterfront.

The Tyger Chambers development, overlooking the waterfront, will offer 15000m² of office space in six four-storey buildings.

The buildings will rise from splitlevel podia, which will be largely devoted to parking with six bays for every 100m² of offices, and a number of small convenience and retail outlets. The first phase of the project is scheduled to start next month.

Charles Potgieter says that the project will run for a couple of years and its units will be for sale or to let. Architects for the Tyger Chambers development are DHK.

Richard Edwards and Tony van Heerden of Cape of Good Hope Bank expect easy access to the project from a new N1 highway interchange to boost the development's appeal.
