Developers, 2Tribes, have launched a new boutique hotel and health centre, The Imbali, situated on KwaZulu Natal's north coast, on the last piece of prime property in the 50ha Zimbali Coastal Forest.
The total area dedicated to the hotel complex overlooking the ocean is 7 436sq m. Situated in a proclaimed conservation area, the number of chalet units at the hotel has been limited to only 20.
The architectural style of the luxury chalets is ecologically sensitive. The rich timbers, stone textures and natural hues of the exterior facades, will harmonise unobtrusively with the lush indigenous surrounds. All the units have framed views of the surrounding forests, the ocean and lagoon as well as private decks with plunge pools enclosed in a garden courtyard, screened outside shower gardens and understated interiors using natural textures, soothing colours and uncluttered spaces. The gardens will comprise indigenous plantings, and incorporate many threatened species, including herbs.
The 105sq m private chalets are being offered as sectional title property at a starting price of R2,8-million. According to project director, Dean Yeadon, buyers will own eight weeks of leisure time and also receive an annual investor return from the hotel, a complete management scheme with no levies, notable capital appreciation on property value and have access to the golf course, beaches and other recreational facilities of the prestigious Zimbali Estate. - The Star
