WBHO Eastern Cape has been awarded four contracts together valued at some
R24 million.
In Port Elizabeth, the company is handling the construction of the Victory
Restoration Centre which calls for a new hall and office complex for the
Victory Ministries Church. This is for the first phase of the contract and
is to be completed in June.
Also in PE, the company has been awarded the contract for the renovations
and extensions to the landmark Marine Hotel on Port Elizabeth's popular
beach.
This involves the refurbishment of an unused wing of the hotel which will be
comprehensively renovated and new bedrooms provided. The roof of the
building will be removed and a new third floor constructed together with
loft accommodation.
Further afield, in Mossel Bay, the company has been awarded a contract for
the reinforced concrete structure for the new View Shopping Centre.
The first phase of this project involves the construction of the concrete
structure to provide a parking deck for some 500 cars. The building work for
the shopping centre itself will follow. This involves the construction of a
2 000m2 Spar, cinemas in the lower section of the complex and various
restaurants located on the roof from where they will have views of the bay.
WBHO Eastern Cape has also recently been awarded the contract for a new five
bedroom guest house on St. Francis Bay's favourite surfing spot, "Bruce's."
The contract will include swimming pools, a jacuzzi and other prestigious
finishes.
