The conference was held in Zagreb and was attended by approximately 200 people from the national retail, IT and FMCG industries showing once more that information and communication technologies are trendsetters and the bearer of change in a highly dynamic retail sector.

“We at Agrokor and Konzum firmly believe that there is room for growth of online trade and we plan to start this platform in other regional markets as well”, said Šantorić and emphasized that Konzum is not worried by recently announced arrival of foreign online traders to the Croatian market.

He said that the center that is located in the former Getro Vrbani object was completely renewed and redesigned to better serve the needs of a new webshop format, and apart from home delivery, buyers will have the option to collect the ordered goods at the center itself.

“We are soon opening a highly specialized center that will be used exclusively for online segment purposes and the investment also includes a webpage redesign that will be significantly faster and more user friendly for online customers.”

He added that, alongside the standard assortment of classic retail stores, a large offer of products selected specially for online customers will be available.
