INDUSTRIAL properties are selling well at Cape Town's Airport City a development bounded by Borcherds Quarry Road, Cape Town International Airport and the N2 highway, says Baker Street, a property company.
"Airport Industria is expected to become one of the fastest growing and most popular industrial nodes in Western Cape," says Baker Street director Andy Beddow.
Baker Street have been active in the Airport City area. It recently sold a 20000m² site to Avis .
Baker Street has also packaged the Budget Rent-A-Car and the Imperial Car Rental depot developments, both adjacent to Avis.
Storm Durr, the developer behind Airport City, says more than 30% of the sites, totalling more than 96000m², have been sold in the first phase.
Another 33% of the sites are under option to purchase.
"There are various sites still for sale, varying in size from 1500m² to 25000m². Prices start at R220/m² for the smaller sites," says Beddow.
