The second phase of Commerce Square, a new R150-million Bakos Brothers Property Group development in Sandhurst, is scheduled for completion by November this year.

Dennis Bakos, MD of Bakos Brothers Property Group, says Commerce Square will consist of five separate buildings on 2 hectares of prime land on the corner of Rivonia Road and Helling Street, Sandhurst.

"The first office block at Commerce Square has already been completed and is fully let. Major tenants here are Nafcoc and Premier Business Capital. Two more office blocks are now under construction, scheduled for occupation in November 2003," he said.

Bakos said the new prestige office complex was developed after Bakos Brothers Property Group acquired five residential properties and assembled the site over a period of five years.

The company is particularly prominent in Sandhurst having recently completed another prestige development, Esher Place, in Federal Road, Sandhurst. Cell C is the major tenant at Esher Place. In total, Bakos Brothers Property Group has invested over R450-million in recent developments in Sandhurst.

Commerce Square will consist of 14 000sq m of office space with abundant parking facilities on site. The "Triple-A" development features high-quality finishes, 24 hour state-of-the-art security, landscaped gardens with water features and ponds, and an office layout tailor-made to tenants' requirements, if so desired.

Members of the team for Commerce Square include: MDS Architects (architects), Group Five (main contractor), Delqs (quantity surveyors), Pollock Williams (structural engineers) and John Deeb & Associates (poject managers). - The Star
