Shares of the Don Group jumped 5% on Tuesday after the hotel and leisure company announced it would reward investors with a special dividend.

The company’s board of directors said in a trading statement that a special cash dividend of 16c per share would be paid to shareholders on February 3 2014.

At 12.26pm‚ the stock was trading at 21c‚ its best levels since November 21 2013‚ valuing the company at R61.84m.
