Cradlestone Mall to open with top shopping on 20 November 2013

The new R1,3 billion Cradlestone Mall will open on Wednesday, 20 November 2013, in time for festive season shopping.

Cradlestone MallThe 76,000sqm Cradlestone Mall will introduce a wide variety of unique, leading and exciting retail in the heart of Mogale City, creating an enticing shopping destination for consumers in Johannesburg's West Rand, and its surrounds.

Cradlestone Mall is owned and developed by Sasol Pension Fund, Pivotal Property Fund and Retail Africa. Set to become one of South Africa's preeminent shopping destinations, it enjoys a unique location near the world-renowned heritage site, the Cradle of Humankind.
With some 200 stores, Cradlestone Mall will offer shoppers an all-inclusive range of retail, restaurant and leisure variety under one roof.

With an unprecedented selection of South Africa's most popular department and grocery retailers, Cradlestone Mall's anchor tenants feature the latest concept Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Checkers and Game stores. Food Lovers Market will join the mix in early 2014, as will Dischem. Adding to the strong attraction of its anchor retailers are Dion Wired and the sought-after brands from the Edcon Group.

Sasol Pension Fund General Investment Manager, Andries Schaap, says that major retailers were quick to seize the appealing opportunity presented by Cradlestone Mall, which is almost fully let.
Schaap adds: "Cradlestone Mall is positioned to attract middle- to high-income shoppers from neighbouring Krugersdorp, Roodepoort and Randpark Ridge, but also from North West Province and even cross-border shoppers from Botswana."

A new favourite with SA's fashion-forward, Australian label Cotton On has made a major commitment to Cradlestone Mall and will open its latest store, weighing in at an impressive 1,400sqm, which is larger than its flagship Sandton City store. This fresh fashion brand taking SA by storm is also opening stand-alone stores for its group brands Typo and Factorie at the new mall.

There's plenty more for the fashionista at Cradlestone Mall, such as Gap and Gap Kids, YDE, Soviet and Hush Puppies, as well as major fashion retailers like Milady's, Truworths, Jay Jays and an appealing lineup of boutiques and independent fashion labels. Outdoor and sports enthusiasts can look forward to Cape Union Mart, Due South, Total Sports and Mr Price Sports.

Besides Dion Wired, Cradlestone Mall offers goodies and gadgets aplenty, serving the retail needs of today's tech-savvy, ever-connected shoppers.
