In a move to capitalise on business opportunities in both the private and public sector, Excellerate Property Services (EPS) has appointed Fundiswa ‘Fundi’ Mazibuko director of customer relationship management and business development.

Fundi MazibukoComments Mazibuko: “We have identified new business opportunities to assist municipalities and government departments – from local government to national departments and parastatals - with our turnkey property solutions which range from services such as maintenance and management of buildings and parking facilities to development and project management.

“For the public sector the benefit of our broad spectrum of integrated services is that we provide a one-stop shop catering for municipalities both large and small, enabling us to offer a professional service which gives them value for money through enhanced cost efficiencies. Government departments and institutions are then able to focus on their core business, which is service delivery, whether these are hospitals, police stations, administrative offices or even universities. Our advantage is that we have the experience, resources and skills to deliver on these support services so that they can concentrate on their mandate.

“For example, we currently provide PRASA (Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa) with a cleaning service in Park Gautrain Station in Johannesburg and ideally we seek to present such clients with a variety of other complementary, property-related services such as hygiene, garden maintenance and security,” says Mazibuko.

Says Marna van der Walt, CEO of EPS: “Being well represented in South Africa and on the African continent, EPS is ideally positioned to target new business in both metropolitan and outlying areas, and to our benefit Fundi has worked in both the public and private sectors and has considerable experience in the property industry. She brings with her skills and experience from former positions as executive strategic support of the chief operating officer at the City of Joburg Property Company and as portfolio manager for Mdantsane City in the Eastern Cape, Westgate Shopping Centre in Johannesburg and Ikeja Mall in Lagos, Nigeria. She was also the previous Woman’s Property Network, Gauteng Chairperson, which provided broad-spread networking opportunities, and has also enjoyed a successful career as a human resources practitioner, including launching her own recruitment company which specialised in the property sector.”

Adds Mazibuko: “In regard to elsewhere in Africa, we have highlighted new business opportunities through our existing offices and via our local partnerships in these and other countries. There is great potential for EPS to capitalise on our existing relationships to expand our footprint in Africa as many of our clients are busy with a variety of developments, and we have a proven track record in the industry.”
