Liberty Properties executive awarded RICS Global Property Fellowship

Giles Pendleton, Managing Director of Developments at Liberty Properties, has accepted an invitation from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to become an eminent member of the institution

Giles Pendleton Liberty PropertiesThis automatically qualifies him as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).

Pendleton was today officially welcomed to the Institution by the Managing Director of RICS, EMEA, Liliane Van Cauwenbergh. The fellowship has only been awarded to eight other South Africans.

Pendleton says he is pleased to be part of a globally recognised professional body that places much emphasis on professional ethics. “RICS actively promotes international standards and best practice in the built environment in the Southern African Development Community, a vision shared by myself and Liberty Properties,” says Pendleton

His global experience across public and private sector developments in Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East is adding value to Liberty’s strategy to be the first point of reference for business interested in investing in property in Africa. He has a proven track record in providing end to end solutions on a range of commercial property development initiatives, with particular focus on mixed use developments and tourism and leisure related projects.

RICS is the oldest and largest professional organisation for the international land, property, construction and related sectors, setting the standards for surveying in land, property and construction globally.
