THE new Parklands Lifestyle Centre in burgeoning Table View will be officially opened on Monday.

THE new Parklands Lifestyle Centre in burgeoning Table View will be officially opened on Monday. David de Kock, head of Baker Street Properties retail division, says the retail complex has been fully let to a diverse group of tenants.

The anchor tenants are Planet Fitness Gym and Country Fresh Market and Deli, and line tenancies have been signed with Astra Procycles, Brothers Beds and Parklands Meat Market, among others. The lowrise centre is located on the corner of Link and Parklands roads and has 7 000 m2 of lettable area and parking for 400 cars.

De Kock says residential development on the West Coast has grown remarkably over the past decade. It is estimated that about 50 new families move to Parklands every month - because of the range of quality properties being developed in the area and the lifestyle provided there, including access to beautiful beaches, sporting amenities, stylish restaurants, good schools and retail shopping.

He says the leasing rates for the centre are very competitive, considering the burgeoning population mix. "We are extremely encouraged by early signs that the retail property market is growing and anticipate a steady increase in activity this year."
