This was confirmed by XCO Sport’s managing director, Hugo Maree, who said the new premises would include a 500 square metre show room.
XCO Sport recently announced its commitment to a R15 million sponsorship of South African rugby over the next three years, making it one of the biggest sponsorships offered by a private company in the past decade.
The sponsorship, which revolves around the supply of its Brutal Rugby range of apparel, is focused on provincial rugby teams, clubs, school teams and activities such as provincial weeks and mini rugby.
XCO Sport – which owns seven sporting brands, including its Brutal Rugby brand - is also the official suppliers to the Leopards, Pumas, Griquas and Falcons rugby teams.
Brutal has been developing and testing apparel, equipment and balls over the last five years.
A level 4 BEE rated company, Pretoria-based XCO Sport also owns three factories, from where its sports brands are manufactured. The company focuses on 20 major sports disciplines, including rugby, cricket, hockey soccer, netball, softball, basketball, athletics, tennis and volleyball.
