A PROPERTY nestled in the Stellenbosch winelands is coming under the hammer next week and the sale is expected to attract major investor interest. The Zetlers, particularly well-known in the farming world for their strawberries, are selling some of their land.
There are four sections for sale, ranging from agricultural to business (with a butchery) to a 42ha subdivisional area - allowing single residential, group residential and business zoning.
"This land, with views of the Stellenbosch mountains and the False Bay coast, has tremendous potential," said Jonathan Smiedt of ClareMart Auctioneers. The 42ha area currently produces a harvest of sauvignon blanc and chenin blanc grapes, so a village hamlet with a rural ambience would be ideal, said Smiedt.
With easy access to the airport and Stellenbosch it has great advantages for residential, business and agricultural use, he said. There is also a six-bedroomed main house, up for auction on the 5ha portion. The land will be auctioned by ClareMart Auctioneers on the Marino Butchery site, R102 (Strand Road), Somerset West on Friday, March 28 at noon.
Preview is the day before, from noon to 3pm or by appointment. Phone ClareMart on 021 511 8802.
