An exclusive golf lodge will be developed at Mount Edgecombe Country Club Two, it was announced recently. Called Fairways Lodge, the R10 million development will overlook the 10th fairway and will comprise 10 suites which are to be sold on a sectional title basis. "Owners will be entitled to use their units for three weeks a year. For the remainder of the year the rooms will be allocated to a rental pool and let out on a per-night basis, generating a significant return on the initial investment," said marketing manager Andreas Wassennaar. The average price is around R1.4 million. Amenities will include a restaurant, conference facilities, library, wine cellar and swimming pool. Fairways was designed by Basil Vogas in association with Theunissen-Jankowitz. The builders are Kelburn Construction and completion is scheduled for March 2004.
