The development of this additional office space by Property Company J.T. Ross at the well established Westway Office Park is also the catalyst for long awaited improvements to the surrounding road infrastructure
This new project will be known as Westside Office Park and is to be developed in phases over the next two to three years. Prior to completion of the initial phase of the Westside office development, an upgrade of the surrounding roads and installation of new traffic lights will occur, allowing for easier access to and from the business node as well as relieving peak hour congestion.
The existing traffic circle on Spine Road, between Westville Hospital and Westway Office Park will be removed and replaced by a signalized intersection. Optimised signal timings at these traffic lighting will increase traffic throughput. An additional southbound traffic lane will be constructed at the Jack Martins Drive Intersection to allow for traffic flow into the new signalized intersection.
Road improvements are expected to commence shortly with completion by mid 2012. The welcomed upgrade will be completed in line with the initial Westside Office Park tenant taking occupation of their new corporate offices in December 2012.
