Bedworth Centre, superbly located on the corner of Ascot-on-Vaal and the R44 in Vereeniging, continues to offer shoppers in the region an increasing range of quality retailers.
Poppie de Beer, Centre Manager of Bedworth Centre notes that the expanded retail offering at the centre has been a hit with shoppers and retailers alike.
“Our shopper base is constantly growing and our strong position in a growing value retail node has continued to serve our retailers well,” says de Beer.
New retailers at Bedworth Centre are buoyant about the shopping centre’s trade.
Dries Holtzhausen, Branch Manager of Outdoor Warehouse at Bedworth Centre, notes that trading at the store is better than originally predicted.
“The location of the Bedworth Centre is proving beneficial and, in my outlook, the potential for growth is immense,” says Holtzhausen.
He reports that 4x4 equipment, gazebos and camping equipment is flying off the shelves and, with the weather warming up, sales of both water sports and fishing equipment is growing.
Open in Bedworth Centre since May 2011, Mega Couch and Mattress is also pleased with its trading and turnovers. Sharon Labuschagne says that local shoppers are most attracted to reasonable prices and a good range of products. “Offering lay-buy purchases which are interest-free for six months is proving very popular amongst customers,” says Labuschagne.
New kid on the block, Simply Shoes, also tips good value for money as the winning ingredient for local shoppers. This full family footwear store opened at Bedworth Centre on 25 August 2011.
“We chose Bedworth Centre as it provides a range of value shopping and has a good anchor tenant, Pick n Pay. This model has proved fruitful at other centres in which we have stores,” says Errol Long of Simply Shoes. “The offering at the centre overall has good general appeal to our customers”.
