International brand ‘Burberry’ will open its South African flagship store in December 2011 in the 330m2 prime storefront recently vacated by Truworths in Hyde Park Corner. More imminently in October 2011, ‘Porsche Design’ and ‘Culinary Hyde Park’ will launch their respective new stores in the centre. The ‘Porsche Design’ store will represent another country flagship in the centre’s cache, showcasing the luxury brand’s fashion and lifestyle products. ‘Culinary Hyde Park’ will be the retail home for Culinary Equipment Company - South Africa’s premier importer of high-end cooking equipment and accessories. The new stores follow the recent introduction of international fashion icon Sarah Pacini in the centre’s Upper Mall.
CEO Pieter Prinsloo says: “The quality and aspirational value of the new tenants maintain the centre’s reputation as the luxury shopping destination of choice for the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg”.
Further bolstering the centre’s offering, a number of large-scale refurbishments were recently completed and unveiled to keen interest. National anchor tenant ‘Pick ‘n Pay’ added extensive offerings to its new look store and fashion staple ‘Earth Addict’ brightened its space in time for spring. Both fine lingerie retailer ‘The French Shop’ and designer bathroom retailer ‘Victorian Bathrooms’ also recently expanded and revamped their respective store space.
‘Exclusive Books’ and popular eatery ‘JB Rivers’ are in the process of upgrading their respective premises, both scheduled for completion in October 2011.
