Award winning Stanford wine farm on offer

Cold Mountain Estate, a 417ha wine farm in Stanford will be sold as a running concern during the upcoming Platinum Multiple auction on September 27

The wine stock and implements will be included in the sale.

The property is situated 20 kilometres away from Stanford on the Elim/Papiesvlei gravel road. It is situated against the picturesque backdrop of the Koue Berge, next to the Salmonsdam Nature Reserve.

Structures on the property include a large manor house which is beautifully appointed, and extends over 840m², a manager’s house, 2 cottages, a cellar building and shed. An additional 40ha of land is available for future development.

The property includes 11.7 ha of Sauvignon Blanc, 1,7ha of Shiraz and 1.2 ha of Semillon. The property also features 2.7ha of figs, lucerne pastures and a selection of Cape flora that are harvested for export purposes, including Proteas and Silver Brunia.

Prizes won by the estate include the Silver medal for their Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz at the Classic Trophy Wine Show in 2009, Silver for their Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz at the Old Mutual Wine Trophy Show in 2010 and Silver for their Sauvignon Blanc at the Veritas Awards in 2009.
