The Spectrum Awards are an initiative of the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC), with nominees for the awards comprising winners of the regional Special Star Retailer and Service Provider Awards, the Footprint Marketing Awards and the Retail Design & Development Awards.

Morningside Shopping Centre scooped the prestigious Spectrum Retail Design Development Award, much to the delight of the centre’s architects, MDS Architects and developers, Grapnel Property Group (Pty) Ltd and Flanagan & Gerard Property Development and Investment. The RDDA Awards recognise exceptional shopping centre design, combined with economic success, within the South African property industry.

National Retailer of the Year Award 2010, in honour of an exceptional level of service, was handed to Bliss Hair & Skincare of 9th Avenue Shopping Centre in the Eastern Cape.
Cavendish Square’s Football, Fashion, Fine Art Winter marketing campaign, by Primedia Lifestyle, was adjudged the winner of the Spectrum Shopping Centre Marketing Excellence Award 2010. This award celebrates excellence in shopping centre marketing.
Celebrating superb industry service providers is the Spectrum National Service Provider of the Year Award, and here, Bidvest Magnum Shield walked away with the accolade for its services at client, Melrose Arch.
