Auction Alliance has been tasked to take to auction the magnificent Thuru Lodge Private Game Reserve, which consists of over 10 000 hectares of reserve, a game complement of 2 000, the luxurious five-star Thuru Game Lodge and Spa, a landing strip and even a registered abattoir.

Situated in the Nama Karoo Biome, this 10 000-hectare reserve is a mere hour’s drive from the Upington Airport and 10 minutes drive from Groblershoop in the Northern Cape.
The reserve covers three diverse flora types, which are broadly classified into Nama Karoo, Kalahari and Karoo mountain vegetation. This provides the ideal habitat for the reserve’s 2 000 species of game, which includes buffalo, springbok, eland, giraffe, rhinoceros, impala and the rare Sable antelope.
Catering to every need of a visiting game-hunter, the lodge has been equipped with a walk-in weapons safe, a fully approved and registered abattoir with spacious cold room, as well as a trophy handling room with tub, drying area and store room for hides and horns according to specifications for the export of trophies.

The entire reserve will be presented on auction at the Auction Alliance Multiple Commercial Auction which will take place at 12h00 on 14 July 2010 at the Southern Sun Hotel in Grayston Drive in Sandton, Johannesburg.
