Perched in aprime position on the corner of Corlett Drive and the M1 Highway, a stone’s throw from Melrose Arch, Waverley’s newest AAA grade commercial development, Waverley Office Park is now home to the Gauteng Gambling Board Head Office

Other tenants include leading burn care and medical supply company Burnshield taking occupation 1 June 2010.  Gross asking rentals are reportedly between R121-141/m2.

Waverley Office Park is being developed by New Order Investments, a joint venture between property developers and investors Vlaming (Pty) Limited, Devcon Projects (Pty) Limited and Top-Flite Properties (Pty) Limited.  Vlaming and Devcon are also the developers of Cedar Office Estate in Fourways.

With phase one of the development complete, the 35,000sqm, R700 million Waverly Office Park is set to feature a visually spectacular duo of symmetrical, office blocks, linked by an arch, which is also the focal point of the development.

“Having seen the prominent position of the new Gauteng Gambling Board Head Office, we are receiving interest from a number of blue-chip companies in the location,” says John Greve of Devcon.

Neil Vlaming from Vlaming (Pty) Ltd says, “Waverly Office Park spares no detail in its quest to provide a superb working environment, in what is certainly one of the fastest growing and most vibrant nodes in the North-Eastern suburbs.”

Vlaming adds that prime office space is still available for tenants who require areas ranging from 250sqm up to 2,400sqm. “In addition to its outstanding highway frontage, which is perfect for tenants who require visibility for branding, Waverley Office Park also offers competitive rates and generous tenant installation amounts,” he says.

Waverley Office Park was designed by Messaris Wapennar Partnership Consulting Architects, along modern building principles, to ensure a positive work environment that blends with the outdoor elements, while harnessing the benefits of some green building principles.

“The horse-shoe shaped building creates privacy from the outdoor bustle, while terraces provide additional outdoor space and upstairs corner windows provide good views of the vibrant Corlett Drive and green parks further afield. The design also includes measures to absorb noise, such as curved facades on the outside of the building,” says Greve.

Indigenous trees grace the grounds, and phase two plans include green outdoor spaces for tenants’ relaxation as well as a coffee shop. The office park also offers generous parking, comprising three levels of basement parking as well as parking within the grounds.
