This exciting road development will provide huge relief for traffic congestion in the surrounding residential and business areas.
The 13 month project, which commenced in May 2008, will be completed in late June 2009 for immediate full scale use by motorists and is the development of 2.2 km’s of dual carriage way road, running along the northern section of Longmeadow Business Estate. With over 58 000m2 of road surface being laid, the new road will be a welcome addition to the development of the area and will be linked into London Road and the P91 at the intersection of Emerald Boulevard on Modderfontein Road.
Heartland Properties is tasked with accelerating the realisation of value from land and property assets that have become surplus to the AECI Group's operational requirements and has responsibility for some 2 200 hectares of land located primarily at Modderfontein in Gauteng and Somerset West in the Western Cape. These are two of AECI's largest and oldest sites and they remain the focus of Heartland's activities.
