Now, the consortium is ready to commence with phase 3 of this office complex which is located between Schoeman and Esselen Streets.
Phase 3, which is available to the market for letting, will consist of 4 buildings each measuring approximately 7 650 m² as well as super-basement parking that spans 2 levels. The new buildings will follow the modern and stylish A-grade approach already adopted for the previous phases as well as the chic designs and overall structures.
Phase 1, which comprised a 7 000m² building, was completed in 2007 and is fully let to the Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA). Phase II which is currently under construction, consists of 23 000m² that will be occupied by the Department of Minerals & Energy (DME). This building, to be classified as ‘energy efficient’, will be the benchmark for future phases to follow at Trevenna Office Campus.
“The site location is perfect,” says Coenie Bezuidenhout of Atterbury Property, “as it is positioned in the heart of the government precinct of Tshwane. The Trevenna Office Campus is located on a prime tract of land which falls within the borders of 8 newly completed buildings including the DTI complex; new SAPS Headquarters; upgraded Sunnypark Retail Mall and Hotel. Not only is it is close to various public transport facilities but also takes a mere fifteen minutes to walk to the new Gautrain Station at Berea. The location is also highly visible and accessible from the surrounding road infrastructure.”
The overall Trevenna Campus will ultimately measure approximately 60 000m². It is envisaged that the Phase III buildings that will measure a total of 30 600 m², will be completed during 2011.
